Will King (he/him) is a Toronto based actor, writer, director, producer, educator, and sound designer!
He is a graduate of the University of Windsor’s conservatory-style BFA Acting program, and has trained with the Moscow Art Theatre School, the SITI Company, Pro Actors Lab, Dirt Underneath, the Lighthouse, Second City Toronto, Tarragon Theatre, and the Stratford Festival.
Will is also a Certified Teacher of the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique from the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium. An organization dedicated to sharing the transformational work of Michael Chekhov in a collaborative, safe, and inclusive environment. In addition to his regular use of the technique, as both an actor and director, Will participated in three years of GLMCC summer training sessions housed at Kent State University to gain his certification.
From 2014 to 2020, Will was Artistic Director of Seven Siblings Theatre, a Toronto based company dedicated to producing Fantastic Realism and utilizing the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique. He produced over a dozen shows over that time, including Mercury Fur, Titus Andronicus, Recall, Girl in the Machine, Frozen, From the Water, and a collection of new plays for the Future Theatre Festival.
As an actor, Will’s credits include: Oliver in Dead Broke (Lost Dreams Collective), Peter/Peter2 in From the Water, Albert Einstein in Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Seven Siblings Theatre), Victor Frankenstein in Frankenstein (Echo Productions), Bernardo/Gravedigger/Player Queen in Hamlet (Unit 102 Actors Co), and Sebastian in Twelfth Night (Hart House). Will can also be seen on the Fox television show Doc, in Black Fawn Films horror feature, The Heretics, and the short form web series Alien House.
Will is a forever curious person and a firm believer in everyday habits and the power of the imagination.
